The motorhome fired up today. It was just a loose terminal on the positive battery post. The previous owner replaced the bolt in it with something from his shed and didn't put a nut on the other end. But the generator didn't fire up and that's because the two auxiliary, or chassis RV batteries are dead. The generator uses those batteries for it's ignition. I hear that it takes the better part of a day on shore power (plugging the motorhome into a 120V or 220V outlet) to fully charge them. I know now that there's a switch that either isolates, or connects the two systems. And that it needs to be in the center, or "neutral" position to cut the connection between them. Otherwise when you use the electric, it draws off all three.

I now have a portable 1000W peak battery recharger with a air compressor in it. But it's big and the area under my hood is small, so there's not a lot of space for it to sit when charging the cab's battery. I'm looking forward to mixing in some octane booster and taking it out for a drive tomorrow.
