Sometimes, I get caught at an impasse over what has priority around here. Today, I could have completed the van's interior refit tasks. Should I have completed them today, I would have the next two days to geo photo catalog certain segments of the trail. But I went with something that's more like a "personnel matter" today. It's also a bit of a person matter.
A few of Adventurer's Project's supporters don't drive. And one of them that doesn't isn't always in this area very long. So, I did a little shopping for the van as indicated in the previous log and stopped by afterwards to see them. Which one is best? I decided to essentially flip a coin. I saw them and now I have to take a day that is atmospherically right for GPS'ing to work on the van.
Adventurer's Project's chapterside supporters are hopefuls to attend a "planning meeting" in this area, is a which is a BTA event. This event will help the BTA determine our strength as we apply for chapterhood. Chapterhood will make this region stronger. But one of the purposes of the geo photo catalog is that it could be used to advertise this region's vacant trail adoption (maintenance) segments. My count says that we're closer to chapterhood than filling the vacant segments. And as for the chapterside supporters, they're rigged up in such a way to be this area's "Maintenance Reserve," who'd be called up for large projects, but they could fill in on the more primary tasks in the short term?
This is the adventure and volunteerism log for Matthew Dexter Edmonds, aka "Treeman." Aside from Blogger comments, contact information is listed on Google+. And all places mentioned in this log are in the State of Ohio in United States of America unless otherwise stated. "The Wayne" = the Wayne NF.
Also, the motorhome mentioned is a 25ft, 1988 Itasca Sundancer, Model IF424RC with a Ford Econoline cutaway unless otherwise stated. It runs a 351 Windsor EFI V8 engine.

Looming and Adventurer's Project's Likes
Adventurer's Project is very big. I'd say that it's looming over me as I write this. It feels huge. But the thing that's keeping me going is heart. It may not be logical? I doubt that some on the Buckeye and North Country Trail associations would understand, but it's what it's taking. I guess that this is me becoming more than myself.
But what people need to understand is that there's a difference between average volunteers and the over achievers out there. When comparing themselves, they shouldn't put this in terms of me's, but in terms of them. The last thing that I want is an inflated situation when really we need to face reality and get things fixed the right way.
Today, Adventurer's Project crossed the 90 likes mark on it's Facebook page thanks to some of the residents in Woodsfield. The next bar is 120. I'm using this as something to indicate how healthy the chapter is getting towards chapterhood.
